Tradition and legacy are what help to make your camp special, the glue that keeps campers coming back, and what is at the heart of what staff want to give to their campers. However, camps frequently see boundaries crossed, lines blurred, and staff and campers go too far in the name of “tradition”. Instead of building up camp, these traditions tear it apart and put camp and campers at risk.

Join us for an interactive session where participants will explore practical, engaging, and developmentally appropriate strategies for teaching staff to build healthy boundaries with campers, supervise camper behavior, behavior management skills, coaching through challenging situations, and creating a deep and meaningful camp culture built on connection, consistency, and confidence. Attendees will leave with innovative hands-on exercises to help train staff to build healthy relationships with campers, proactively prevent challenges, and respond effectively to camper behavior.
